Our Story

For generations, the public school system in the Glasford area has provided a quality education built on a tradition of collaboration, community, and commitment. We are proud of our rich history and how it has made our district into what is today.

Opportunities

IB offers a range of quality educational opportunities for our students. Our campus houses all of our students "under one roof" and we are able to have just about everything a larger school offers in a smaller, more individualized setting.

Family Culture

Our district is known for its family culture, and many of our teachers and staff are IB alumni. We are proud to see so many generations of families come through our doors, and we invite you to visit our history page to see how our district has evolved over the years.

District Leadership

Our district is governed by a seven-member Board of Education that sets policy and direction for the district. Members serve a 4-year term and meet on the third Monday of each month in the high school library. Our administration is led by our Superintendent Dr. Roger Alvey, and three principals who manage the day to day activities within their schools.

Technology

We are proud of our technological capabilities and our district is committed to providing our students and staff with 21st-century technology tools. Students in grades K-4 have access to classroom sets of devices and students in grades 5-12 take their device home.

Our Facilities

Our district has 3 full size gyms, 2 libraries, 2 common areas, a theater, and an outdoor athletic complex that includes an all-weather track, baseball/softball diamonds, and soccer fields. We take pride in the look of all of our facilities and maintaining them is a priority. Over the years, we have rehabbed many of these spaces and are always planning future projects to ensure our facilities are here for generations to come.
