As many of you are aware, the 2020 Census deadline is approaching (September 30th) and it is important for everyone to be counted. The census determines how much federal funding we have to fix our roads, feed our community, and teach our children. Specific to Illini Bluffs, the 2020 Census Count will determine how many federal dollars and grants we could receive for the next ten years. Some of those federal grants are Title I, II, & IV, and the National Federal Lunch Program. The census also determines how many representatives Illinois has in Congress and the Electoral College. There are three ways to take the census:
Online: Visit my2020census.gov
Phone: Call 844-330-2020 to fill out the Census over the phone. The US Census Bureau offers assistance in 59 non-English languages, including American Sign Language.
Mail: Fill out the Census form you received in the mail and return it, free of charge, to the US Census Bureau.
